Bio
Andrea Hicks is the Coordinator of Adventist Single Adult Ministries (ASAM) for the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Andrea has been on the NAD Single Adult Ministries Committee since 2006.
Andrea is from Trenton, New Jersey. She the Founder of F.O.C.U.S. Ministries (Fellowship of Christians Unique and Single) and recently served as the Assistant to the Director of Singles Ministry for the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventist. This is the seventh year of this life changing ministry. Her passion for Singles Ministry was brought about through circumstance. Through divorce she began to see the need for this life changing ministry. In the fall of 1997, a job opportunity re-located her to New York. She has been actively involved with singles ministry since 2001. She is a very organized event planner and has good leadership skills. She is multi faceted and serves as the Secretary/Production Coordinator for Atlantic Union Adventist Media/3ABN, Manager of the accapella recording group Men Of Israel and is very active in her home church, Mount Sinai Seventh-day Adventist Church in Queens, NY. She is a Quality Assurance Software Engineer and Beta Test Coordinator for a Digital Radiography Company in New York. Andrea is a world traveler and loves meeting new people. She considers her relationship with God, her greatest accomplishment in life. She has demonstrated commitment in all that she does. She is single and currently lives in Long Island, New York.
F.O.C.U.S. Ministries SINGLES MINISTRY came into existence in 2001 at the Mt. Sinai Seventh-day Adventist Church in Queens Village, NY. She was ably assisted by Vidal R. Forde. The name F.O.C.U.S., is an acronym: FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIANS UNIQUE AND SINGLE. F.O.C.U.S. MINISTRIES is now a team of dedication singles who plan X-citing functions like retreats, cruises, picnics, lunches, bowling and mixers with Singles ministries from other Seventh-day Adventist churches throughout the New York tri-state area and abroad.
